The Prior General is an ordained minister of Catholic or Orthodox confession of high ecclesiastical dignity. He takes care of the spiritual well-being of the members of the Order, the divine liturgy, the investiture ceremonies and all aspects of a religious and spiritual nature, for which he will avail himself of the help of the Spiritual Counselors of the individual Chapters. He advises the Sovereign Grand Master on every religious and ecclesiastical aspect.
